Passionate about building community with other indie filmmakers and creative artists? Here at Community 4, we're always looking for dedicated volunteers to join our team.
Help us help working class filmmakers get the leg up they deserve.
Because we specialize in micro budget post-production and production services, we keep our rates super low so that disadvantaged filmmakers are able to afford quality work for minimal cost. Unfortunately, that means we have a very small profit margin and can't always afford to hire folks to assist with day-to-day operations.
We have a variety of opportunities where you can lend a hand. Any amount of help is welcomed - whether it's working with us at the studio or spreading the word on social media. We appreciate you being a part of our effort to build a sustainable filmmaking community that places art and artists above profit.
Administrative Support
Everyone in the indie film business knows how overwhelming administrative work can be. Answering emails, drawing up contracts, setting up meetings—it’s a lot of paperwork!
We’re looking for volunteers to help with essential behind-the-scenes tasks so our creative team can focus on what we do best: making great films.
If you’re detail-oriented, organized, and eat spreadsheets for breakfast, we'd love your help!
Volunteer responsibilities may include:

Coordinating with clients to confirm project details and timelines.

Picking up and delivering hard drives or rental gear.

Answering emails and tracking client communication.

Setting up meetings between filmmakers, producers, and collaborators.

Organizing our studio calendar so deadlines and events are always on schedule.
Social Media & Digital Outreach
Love Instagram? Live on TikTok? Have a knack for crafting posts that get people talking? We need creative, social media-savvy volunteers to help us share our story and connect with the independent film community online.
Social media and digital marketing volunteers can play a big part in growing our audience and keeping our community engaged.
Come help us out with:

Running and updating our social media accounts across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and more

Creating and posting content

Editing and posting short-form videos and reels

Engaging with our followers, responding to comments, and building relationships online

Reaching out to prospective clients and collaborators
Community Outreach
We believe the heart of independent film is community—and that means building real connections both online and in person. Having community outreach volunteers helps us spread the word about our mission. After all, there's only so many events our little team can attend in person!
As an outreach volunteer, you might:

Connect with local filmmakers and film organizations

Represent C4 Studios and the bigger Community 4 collective at festivals, markets, and networking events

Assist with organizing and running in-person gatherings and meetups

Build and maintain partnerships with businesses and nonprofits who support the arts.
Whether you’re an extrovert who loves meeting new people or simply passionate about growing the independent film scene, this is a chance to make a meaningful impact. You’ll be helping us strengthen our network, support other creators, and bring more people into our growing collective!
Production Support
Making a movie—especially on a low budget—is a team sport. At C4 Studios, we produce and co-produce projects where every extra set of hands makes a big difference. That’s where production support volunteers come in.
If you’re the kind of person who loves being on set, we’d love to have you help us out! Depending on the production, you might:

Assist with setting up and breaking down gear.

Help manage props, wardrobe, or set dressing.

Perform supply and task runs for the production team (craft services, pickups, etc.).

Work with other departments to make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Offer an extra set of eyes and ears to anticipate needs on set.
